The FIFA Club World Cup Qatar in February will host 3 stadiums for the 2022 World Cup. The World Cup stadiums are Education City, Ahmed bin Ali (Al Rayyan) and Khalifa International Stadium. The Club World Cup 2020 will take place from 1 to 11 February 2021.
The inaugural match will be between Qatar’s Al Duhail and New Zealand’s Auckland City team on February 1 at 8.30 am local time at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium. The final will take place on February 11 at 9.00 pm local time at the Education City Stadium. Ahmed bin Ali Stadium was inaugurated on the December 18th. The inaugural ceremony was held to mark the 48th Ameer Cup. The Education City Stadium was inaugurated in June this year and the renovated Khalifa Stadium in May 2017.
Qatar was also the venue for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup. The 2020 FIFA Club World Cup will take place in February 2021. Following Covid, the Club World Cup, scheduled for December, was postponed to February. Liverpool FC is the defending champions. Doha is the last FIFA club tournament with 7 clubs. The Club World Cup kicks off with the 2021 edition expanding to 24 teams.
