Qatar National Day 2020 Celebration excitements erupted across the country with flag-waving decorations. December 18 is the Qatar National Day. What is special about this National Day is that it excites football. The Amir Cup final and the inauguration of Al Rayyan, the fourth stadium to be completed for the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup, have been announced on National Day. Al Rayyan’s inauguration sets the stage for the Amir Cup final.
The National Day Organizing Committee had earlier announced that there would be no celebrations at Darb Al Saai, the main venue for the National Day celebrations due to the Covid period. It is also doubtful whether expatriates and natives will be able to participate in the official parades at Doha Corniche as in the past, following the Covid restrictions. Although there are no celebrations, locals and expatriates are still excited about National Day.
Large and small national flags and flag-coloured flagpoles began to be hoisted on the roofs of vehicles and in front of houses and offices. Markets such as small flags, costumes in the colours of the national flag, souvenirs, cups with the national emblem and cups are also active to celebrate the Qatar National Day 2020.
