Covid: Latest Travel Rules and conditions in Qatar
Travel and entry conditions to Qatar will continue. The revised terms came into force with minor amendments. Ministry of Public Health says there will be no change in the condition of exceptional re-entry permit for Qatari expatriates.
The entry and exit rules for nationals and expatriates with Qatari residence permits have been updated with minor amendments. The new amendment also provides for the provision of a home quarantine for those under the age of 18 who are not alone with their parents.
1. Let’s go out of the country
Citizens and expatriates of the country can travel abroad at any time. Must be clearly aware of the quarantine policy, duration and requirement of the Covid Negative Certificate of the country being visited.
There should be an understanding between the employer and the employee regarding the return to Qatar and the quarantine. Return quarantine should be taken into account when planning a trip.
2. Return to the country
Covid-19 Test will conduct inspections at Hamad International Airport for travellers from less populated countries. The affidavit must be signed stating that you can stay at home quarantine for one week subject to conditions. The profile colour will be yellow in the Ehteraz application until the quarantine is completed. On the sixth day, Covid should be examined at the primary health center. If positive, it will enter into isolation. The profile will be loaded on the Ehteraz. If negative, Ehteraz will be green on the seventh day. The list of countries at risk is published on the website of the Ministry of Public Health.
If you are from a country where Covid is prevalent and Qatar does not have approved covid checkpoints, you should stay in Hotel Quarantine for a week at your own expense. Hotel bookings can only be made through the Discover Qatar website. covid will inspect the hotel quarantine on the sixth day. If the result is negative, return home on the seventh day and stay in the home quarantine for another seven days. Ehteraz profile will remain yellow until the end of the quarantine.
If you come from a country with a Qatari Authorized covid Checkpoint, you can avoid the covid Checkout at Hamad International Airport upon arrival in Doha if you hold a covid Negative Test Certificate 48 hours prior to departure for Doha. The list of covid testing centers approved by the Ministry of Public Health is published on the Ministry’s website.
Home quarantine guests can book a quarantine hotel through Discover Qatar if they do not have the amenities including a bedroom with a toilet. If the passenger is a minor, the legal guardian may sign a home quarantine affidavit. Indigenous, Qatari nationals’ wives, children, and holders of permanent residence permits must pay the costs themselves if they book a quarantine through Discover Qatar. Hotel quarantine in Qatar will be borne by the relevant authorities at the expense of the Qatari government and the health department staff sent to care for patients and their assistants returning from treatment abroad.
3. Return Permit Mandatory
Qatar Ministry of Home Affairs requires an exceptional re-entry permit for expatriates to return to Doha. Apply for a permit through the Qatar Portal. The company or employer must apply for domestic workers and company employees. The sponsor must also apply for the family. The employer is required to pay a 14-day quarantine for skilled and unskilled workers and domestic workers. Families should be able to afford it.
4. Permitted to stay in Home Quarantine
Home quarantine if you have family members and their helpers in the same house. 55 years and above. Under 18s arriving without parents.

5. Ihteras Mandatory
