Qatar’s Al Duhail prepares for the FIFA Club World Cup 2020 in Doha in February. This is Al Duhail’s first appearance at the Club World Cup. Al Duhail were also last season’s champions in the QNB Stars League. In an interview with FIFA, team coach Sabri Lamouchi stated that the goal is to become the best representative of Qatar.
The FIFA Club World Cup will be held from February 1 to 11 at three venues: Ahmed Bin Ali, Education City and Khalifa International Stadium. The first match is between Auckland City and Al Duhail. The final will be played at 11 a.m. at the Education City Stadium.
The South American team will confirm participation later this month. FIFA has appointed 7 referees and 12 assistant referees for the club competition. 7 video match officials have also been selected. 7 big clubs are participating in the competition. Qatar was also the venue for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup. Liverpool FC are the current club champions.
