The Asian Olympic Council Evaluation Committee says it is satisfied with Doha ‘s preparations for the 2030 Asian Games. The committee members arrived in Doha to assess the facilities of Qatar participating in the official bidding process to host the Asian Games.

During the three-day visit, the team assessed Qatar’s sports infrastructure, stadiums, training pitches and Aspire Academy. Andrei Krukov, chairman of the committee, said he was pleased with Qatar’s facilities and hoped that Qatar would host the best Asian Games of all time.

Krukov said he understood Qatar’s importance to the sport and the people’s passion for sports. The team’s visit to the Qatar National Museum was attended by Team Qatar and athletes from various Asian sports. The hosts of the 2030 Asian Games will be announced at a meeting in Muscat on December 16.
